Placed second on two of his three starts since returning from a break. Beaten ½L over 1m at Windsor (good) last time out and is one to note stepping up in distance.

Making her seasonal debut when finishing third over 7f at Kempton last month. Bred to appreciate this step up in trip and is an interesting runner on handicap debut.

Finished runner-up on both handicap starts so far including when beaten 1L over 1m at Lingfield a month ago. Step up in distance looks likely to suit and she is of interest once more.

Placed over 1m at Chelmsford in December but disappointed on handicap debut next time out. Drop in grade should suit following two heavy defeats in valuable Dubai contests earlier this year.

Off the mark at the fifth time of asking when winning by a head in a C&D handicap in January. Given a break since and is a leading player despite a 4lb rise in the weights.

Victorious in a C&D novice contest in February. Beaten a head over 1m2f on handicap debut at Chelmsford subsequently and is a notable runner dropping in distance following a disappointing effort over an extended 1m4f at Newcastle last time out.

Decent effort when fifth at Roscommon (7f, good) in June last year. Struggled in four subsequent starts however including two for this yard. Others hold stronger claims stepping up in distance.

Forecasts

Hermocrates (7/2), Image Of The Moon (4/1), Colony Queen (9/2), Canford Dancer (6/1), Dancing Jo (13/2), Sir Ox (8/1), Shaleela's Dream (10/1), Emma Point (11/1), Craneur (14/1), Firewater (16/1), Robeam (18/1), Lady Reset (25/1), Champagne Marengo (100/1)

Verdict

COLONY QUEEN should appreciate this drop in distance having disappointed last time out. The selection represents a useful yard and she can get the better of Hermocrates who is making her return from a break and was a winner here last time out. Third place can go to top weight Dancing Jo who ran well when placed over shorter earlier this month.
