6f Ripon winner (good to firm) in novices' company last season. Back in better form on his second handicap start at Beverley (7½f) last time. Up 3lb for that, but looks a player.
Placed from 4lb higher in a Newmarket nursery last year, and ran respectably on his reappearance in a Kempton novice event (1m) last month. Has claims dropped 2lb and back in handicap company.
Returned from a winter break/being gelded to break his duck at Lingfield (7f, AW) in novices' company recently. Will need some improvement to defy this initial handicap mark, but can't rule that out.
Showed some ability in three starts in novice events last year, before he was well held on handicap debut at Ayr. Heavy ground a likely excuse there, and he would be interesting if supported on his reappearance from 1lb lower.
Yet to make the frame in four attempts, and well held on stable/handicap debut when 2lb higher at Newmarket recently. Can come on for that, but plenty to prove.
Went close to winning in her first three starts in novices' company last year. Flopped when last seen in October, but could be a big player from this initial mark on her handicap debut.
Runner-up in three of his last four starts in novice events on AW (6f/7f) and makes his handicap debut here from an unchanged mark. Likely to be competitive if transferring that form to turf.
Improving after a modest start, and went close when 25-1 at Kempton (7f, AW) in a novice event when last seen in November. Reverts to turf now for handicap debut, with hood applied, but initial mark looks stiff.
Showed ability on a couple of occasions last year. Has left Andrew Balding since then (33,000gns) and has dropped to a workable looking mark. Market check advised on reappearance/stable debut.
Won on his second handicap start (fifth in total) here over C&D (good to soft) in October. Since gelded and now returns from 4lb higher. Much respected.
Produced an improved effort when last seen in September. Since gelded and reappears in a handicap from what looks a feasible initial mark. No surprise to see him go close.
Glimpses of ability so far, but would only be of serious interest in her first turf handicap if she comes in for market support.
Won a 6f seller here in July. Last of 12 on her reappearance and looks in need of a drop in the handicap to be winning.
3lb lower than when 2L seventh in a tight finish at Kempton (6f, AW) last time. Has run well on good/good to soft on turf, so not written off here, but others look more likely winners.

Ramesses (3/1), Azor Ahai (9/2), Derry Boy (11/2), John Clare (7/1), Glory (15/2), Wild Hope (10/1), Mawsool (12/1), Salmon Fishing (12/1), Reconnaissance (16/1), Under Curfew (20/1), God Has Given (25/1), Miss Elsa (25/1), Elsie Violet (28/1), Solfeggio (33/1), Knockabout Queen (40/1)
This looks the better of the two divisions and it is interesting that AZOR AHAI gets in despite being 5lb higher than the ceiling rating. We'll take the hint, after a good run at Beverley. Glory looks a player now back in this sphere, while Mawsool will have his supporters. Wild Hope and Ramesses can both have cases made, while C&D winner John Clare and Under Curfew are others not ruled out.
- Azor Ahai
- Glory
- Ramesses
