Dual bumper winner (including here) who caught the eye of the stewards on second hurdles start at Tramore, and again did his best work late at Naas last time. Can go well up in trip.

Off well over three years before making debut for current yard. Well beaten on his sole completed start over hurdles. and whatever he ability he once had on the Flat appears to have deserted him on the evidence of latest run.
3

Below form on debut for new yard (formerly with trainer's brother), but has won a bumper and has shown his best Flat form on a lively surface, so no surprise to see him improve markedly on previous hurdles form.

Best effort when ½L second of 10 to Cusp of Carabelli in maiden at Tramore in October, but he's not progressed over hurdles, and was well below his best in handicap company last time.

Best on a sound surface, and built on earlier placed efforts when short-head second of 10 to Thecraicisninety at Ballinrobe in July. Below form at Tramore in August, but likely to bounce back given solid profile.

Well-positioned in a messy race when sixth of 18 to Uisce Beatha at Fairyhouse last April, but well held when falling next time, and chances are he's flattered by that standout effort.
Only placed once in 10 Flat starts achieving a rating of 51. Hard to fancy on that basis and well beaten in decent Leopardstown maiden over 2m at Christmas on hurdles bow. Tongue tied now.

Runner-up twice in bumpers, but went the wrong way in that sphere, and pulled much too hard when tailed off on hurdles debut at Thurles in February. Clearly capable of better, but risks there for all to see.
9
Horse silk
66/1
Tailed off on all three starts to date, and makes precious little appeal on the evidence of the racecourse.

Gelding by Kalanisi out of a Grand Plaisir mare. Dam was a bumper/2m hurdle winner, half-sister to useful winners Same Difference and Forever Field. Market likely to reveal expectations on debut.
Half-brother to multiple winners, including fairly useful chaser Torpille d'Ainay. Runner-up on first two starts in bumpers, but has run very poorly more recently, and soon in trouble on hurdles bow at Limerick. Needs to bounce back.

Has run with credit on last few Flat starts, albeit at a modest level. Showed promise on hurdles debut, but well held next time, and type to do better when handicapping at a more realistic level.

Well held in four career starts to date since debut in January. Beaten 29L on maiden hurdle debut last month and first time cheekpieces need to bring about improvement if he's to play a role here.
Well beaten in a bumper, but has improved with each start over hurdles, and looks the form pick based on his latest third of 18 to Breaken at Limerick last time.

Brother to connections' smart jumper Monksland. Rather a mixed record to date, but improved when 6½L third of 14 to Popong at Wexford last time, and strong place claims with a repeat.
16
Horse silk
100/1
Related to winners but has shown very little ability of her own in three outings to date.

Verdict

Batcio, a course winner in bumpers, is of interest now upped in trip over hurdles, as is hurdling debutant Ooksoo, whose yard can ready one, but the pick on form is Joseph O'Brien's TOUCH OF OSCAR, and he is also the type to do better granted an increased test of stamina, so looks a solid option.
  1. Touch Of Oscar
  2. Batcio
  3. Ooksoo
