Won two 5f novice contests as a juvenile, but has had plenty of stiff tasks in handicaps, including on reappearance at Pontefract. Remains vulnerable off this sort of mark.
Improved throughout his juvenile campaign, culminating in a decisive victory over C&D in November. Not obviously well treated on handicap debut, but has been mixing it with some talented opposition and is much respected.
Dual winner as a two-year-old and was not disgraced in Listed company on his last race of the campaign at York. Has to enter calculations on handicap bow.
Trained by Karl Burke last season when he was a winner over 7f at Yarmouth before finding life tougher in stronger company. Has been gelded and tackles a shorter trip, but that may be no bad thing on seasonal reappearance.
Without a win after six runs, but the latest of them, when second of nine at Pontefract, suggests he is going the right way. One to keep an eye on in the betting.
Won four times as a two-year-old, including three wins in handicap company. Fine seasonal reappearance when just touched off at Thirsk recently and may take another step forward off this 2lb higher mark.
Yarmouth winner over this trip on debut, but signed off her juvenile campaign with an ordinary run in a conditions race at Leicester. Handicap debut and seasonal reappearance for a stable which has yet to find its stride this season.
Thirsk success and several other good efforts as a juvenile and may have found 7f too far on his reappearance in a good handicap at Newbury. Runs off the same mark and drop in trip looks a plus.
Promise on both starts last year and was sent off favourite when second of 11 in a 6f novice event at Kempton on his return to action. Opening handicap mark looks fair and stable has been enjoying a good start to the season.
Good winner over C&D last summer and fluffed the start when last of five at Chester on final outing of the season. Can be forgiven that and is not out of this off the same mark.
AW winner on first two starts earlier this year and latest third of 11 off this mark at Pontefract was a sound effort. Likely to be on the premises again.
Trained by Richard Hannon when winning a 7f Yarmouth nursery in October and ran well off 6lb higher at Kempton on next start. Nothing wrong with reappearance run/stable debut over this trip at the latter track and competes off the same mark.
Bits of promise over 6f and 7f last season, but was disappointing on final start and has been gelded. Has a bit to find as he starts out on his three-year-old campaign.

Moraawed (11/4), Topical (4/1), Dazzling Dan (6/1), Fastman (10/1), Dahawi (11/1), Princess Power (14/1), Ginger Fox (14/1), Hafeet Alain (16/1), Kinks (16/1), Excelled (20/1), Amplify (22/1), Constant (25/1), Revich (25/1), Jean Valjean (28/1)
Fastman and Constant give their stable a strong hand, while Dahawi, Ginger Fox and Princess Power ran well enough last time to suggest they will figure again. Dazzling Dan has run into some useful opposition and is respected on his handicap debut, but the vote goes to TOPICAL who ran well for a long way in a good 7f handicap at Newbury and may well relish this drop in trip. Others to consider in a wide-open handicap are Hafeet Alain, Amplify and Moraawed.
- Topical
- Dazzling Dan
- Fastman
