Has taken well to hurdling and after a couple of seconds duly obliged in novice hurdle at Newcastle last month then made a winning handicap bow at Huntingdon a couple of weeks ago. Clearly in great heart and should go well again.

Runner-up on each of first three starts of hurdles then won cosily at Doncaster in January. Ran out when leading early at Musselburgh in February then faded last time at Wetherby having set strong pace. Needs to settle better but has ability.

Yard in decent form. Probably found heavy ground against him when weakening tamely over nearly 2m4f last time and drop back to this trip on a better surface makes sense. Previous form leaves him with plenty to find at the weights though.

Landed debut Irish point-to-point and joined current connections for £25,000 soon after. Mixed messages in first two starts under Rules and may have gone wrong late on on debut, but looks one who should do better once handicapped.
Modest fourth in Stratford bumper and then pulled up on debut over hurdles earlier this month for Olly Murphy having looked a difficult ride. Debut for new yard here and looks to have a mountain to climb.

Just failed over C&D in January but made no mistake at Catterick in March, winning comfortably. Outclassed in hot event at Aintree Festival last time and this looks more her level. Should be very much on the premises.
Ex-French maiden at up to 1m4f on Flat. Pulled up on hurdles debut for current yard at Sedgefield in February and was tailed off at Wetherby last time. Very hard to fancy on that evidence.

Fair Mix mare who has shown very little ability in two starts so far under Rules and looks as though she will struggle once again at this level.
Stable companion of Lucky Lover Boy. Showed little on debut in Sedgefield bumper but not completely disgraced on hurdles bow last time at Huntingdon earlier this month. Likely to find here level in handicaps but this looks a tough task.

Forecasts

Lucky Lover Boy (11/10), Pink Legend (2/1), Constancio (7/2), Cosheston (14/1), Court Jurado (20/1), Potters Away (50/1), Thunder Boy (80/1), Cape Fair (100/1), De Good Man Luke (100/1)

Verdict

This looks to rest between hat-trick seeking LUCKY LOVER BOY and the mare Pink Legend, with marginal preference for Oliver Greenall's charge who has done really well since going jumping this campaign. Pink Legend went close here earlier in the term and won at Catterick so has to be respected, while Constancio should also be very much on the premises. Court Jurado and Potters Away are both open to improvement but have plenty to find on all known form.
  1. Lucky Lover Boy
  2. Pink Legend
  3. Constancio
