Well into the veteran stage now, formerly very useful staying chaser but appears on the downgrade these days and is showing little of his old form. Faces an easier task here but still very hard to fancy.
Second start for this yard but although quietly fancied to run well at Chepstow last time out, was beaten too far out for comfort, and pulled up. Needs to bounce back now and is a risky proposition.
Game and genuine sort that always tries hard, gained due reward for his efforts when a winner at Chepstow last time out and as a C&D winner here too, must have a squeak despite a 6lb rise for that success. Any rain a plus.
Well known low-grade chaser that's proved very hard to win with over the years, as a 3-31 strike rate demonstrates. Conditions fine again but not really in any great form at present and not hard to look elsewhere for the winner.
Has the ability to win one at this level but equally finds visiting the winners enclosure difficult, successful just once in a 25-race career. Trip and likely ground fine but for win purposes, others preferred.
First start for new yard (who are having a good season), capable of winning off this mark and with both trip and ground fine, it could be a case of whether new trainer has him wound up to go after an absence. Interesting.

Forecasts
Boughtbeforelunch (7/4), Irish Octave (5/2), Butlergrove King (11/4), Domingo (3/1), Follow The Swallow (5/1), Copperfacejack (10/1), Silver Man (33/1)
Another weak event. Butlergrove King would be very interesting if the market speaks in his favour, with his new yard more than adept at getting them ready first time and at landing the odd gamble. Boughtbeforelunch looks sure to run his race again but IRISH OCTAVE is a real trier in this grade and that will count for plenty here. He can follow up his Chepstow win with another.
