All four wins have been on AW, and he is 0-10 on turf. Has won from just 1lb lower, and has shown he can be competitive on this surface in Ireland, so from a good draw he probably has each-way claims.
Has a decent strike rate on turf for one in this sphere and goes particularly well here. Made a pleasing reappearance at Pontefract recently, and is on a very competitive mark. The draw is the major sticking point.
Dual fast ground C&D winner, who is back on the same mark as the more recent of those in September 2017. Arrives in good form from AW and has rail draw, if she can take advantage. Claims.
Not the force he once was. Stiff 5f should be fine for him, and he is draw well enough, but enough recent evidence to suggest that this will be tough enough from this mark.
Dual 6f juvenile winner for Mark Johnston in 2017, but couldn't win again in 15 further starts for that stable. Was supported prior to stable debut at Thirsk (6f, good to firm) recently, but held there. Interesting over stiff 5f.
Underlined his penchant for a stiff track with a fourth win at Pontefract last time (5f, good to firm), on his first run after a wind op. Gets a similar climb here, is up 4lb and has claims, but does have a poor draw to contend with.
Dual C&D winner, inc on good to firm. Out of sorts since scoring here last time in July, but not 4lb lower and there were signs of a revival on AW last month. Blinkers replace cheekpieces. Not the best of draws but worth a market check.
C&D winner a few seasons ago and was last seen scoring at Nottingham (5f, soft) in November. Up 3lb for his reappearance, and record suggests that he is likely to need this.
C&D winner in 2016 (good to firm) and certainly on a handy mark on plenty of old form. Decent AW effort last time, and was beaten only ½L from 8lb higher over C&D last July, so don't rule out a big run, despite his draw.
Soft ground Pontefract success in 2017 remains his only one from 13 starts. On a mark from which he has the ability to compete, but didn't see much on AW recently after a break. Not written off if there is significant rain, however.

Forecasts
Mininggold (3/1), Johnny Cavagin (4/1), Prestbury Park (9/2), Musharrif (9/2), Seamster (9/1), It's All A Joke (10/1), Bosham (11/1), Van Gerwen (12/1), Jacob's Pillow (20/1), Wensley (25/1), Secretinthepark (33/1)
A typically tough sprint handicap for the track, where the suggestion is PRESTBURY PARK, who looks interesting now tried over a stiff 5f. Miningold, Bosham and Musharrif are all potential players, with the first-named having the best draw of that trio, while Johnny Cavagin can't be ruled out. Van Gerwen and Wensley would both have stronger claims if the ground slows.
- Prestbury Park
- Mininggold
- Bosham
