Won a small race at Warwick last summer but it's been all downhill since and she now finds herself 9lb lower than that victory. Eased in grade but hasn't shown a lot of encouraging signs recently.
Hold-up tactics ensure she needs things to fall just right, consequently just 1-15 so far. Did run well at Exeter (2m7f, soft) latest and rated 2lb higher having joined new trainer since.
Maiden, produced best effort over timber when closing to take third at Exeter 15 days ago on good to soft (few of these behind). Eased a pound from that run, may have more to offer if building on it.
Still a maiden now after 17 starts. Couldn't benefit on a drop into selling company penultimate start and poor back in a handicap at Newton Abbot since. Others preferred.
Long-standing maiden when trained in Ireland and has built up a career record of 0-26 (bumpers/hurdles). Twice flopped since joining this yard, hard to be confident.
Very much looked the sort who would come forward for the handicap experience but has so far disappointed in three attempts in this sphere. Step back up in distance does seem a positive.
A very modest handicapper on the Flat for Jim Bolger in Ireland and it's been much the same since the mare switched codes and joined her current yard. Poor run here last time, stamina unproven.
Stayed on strongly to win a C&D conditionals handicap last month, a first success in 12 over timber. Dropped in trip and failed to back it up at Hereford just seven days later, will have a clear chance if reproducing that prior course form.
10-race maiden over timber but much better effort last time at Wincanton (2m5½f, good) last month. Handicapper has eased him another 3lb, up in trip and could have a major say.
Sole success did come over hurdles at Huntingdon back in 2016, but has lost his say since and was badly out of form at the end of last year over fences. Best watched on seasonal return.
Picked up minor money here over C&D last month (third) but isn't the most consistent and rubber-stamped that theory with another sub-standard effort since at Wincanton. Player at his best.
Went close to springing a 100-1 surprise at Warwick in September, beaten a length into fourth. Moderate since then, including when pulled up as unfancied 33-1 chance on reappearance at Chepstow (2m3½f, good to soft) recently.
Yet to win in seven starts over hurdles, though has ability. Appeared to appreciate step up to this sort of trip at Exeter 15 days ago (behind Cushuish), can go close with a repeat and money will likely arrive if confidence is there.
Point-to-point winner, unplaced in seven starts over timber. Better effort last time at Exeter over this trip, though had a few of these in front of him, and may build on that reappearance effort.
No win in 17 starts under all codes, exposed as very modest and has no realistic chance here, though did run best race for these connections over C&D in December.
Poor in bumpers/novice hurdles and fared no better switched to handicap company in two November starts. Returns from a break and not getting any favours on these terms.
Forecasts
Lamh Ar Lamh (9/2), Cushuish (11/2), Talkingpicturestv (6/1), Princess Midnight (6/1), Pottlereaghexpress (8/1), Sauvignon (10/1), Spirit Of Rome (10/1), Ruby Fool (14/1), She's Gina (14/1), Macca's Stowaway (20/1), Midnight Gem (25/1), Celer Et Audax (25/1), Sin Sin (25/1), Flow With Eve (33/1), Bella's Vision (40/1), Nerual (66/1)
A few of these clashed at Exeter recently with Cushuish (third), Talkingpicturestv (fourth) and Ruby Fool (seventh) all deemed worthy of note in this race as a result of their efforts. Henry Oliver's mare perhaps can do best as she's unexposed over this trip but C&D winner LAMH AR LAMH has relished this place in two visits and will handle any ground. She can bounce back from a lesser effort at Hereford over shorter (a race that came quickly) since. Sauvignon is one that could be coming with a strong late challenge.
- Lamh Ar Lamh
- Talkingpicturestv
