Fairly useful Flat performer and opened hurdles account in good style at Musselburgh in February before Ludlow second (2m, good to soft) off rating of 125. Aintree Grade 3 latest best forgotten.

Fontwell maiden hurdle winner in January, turned over at prohibitive odds latest in 2m5½f Wincanton novice contest. Drops slightly in trip and should still be capable of better.

Appeared to have learned plenty from his Warwick bumper debut when scoring at Bangor five months later in a similar affair. His two hurdles runs have been disappointing though and it may be he's being brought along gently. Meets better ground now.

Finished last but wasn't beaten far in a Listed race at Newbury in December but had previously been in good form. Just 2lb above her last winning mark and suited by the trip and ground. Seasonal debut but still one to bear in mind.

Modest maiden in the Flat in Ireland and unable to show much in three minor hurdles races there in the autumn, needs plenty more on stable debut.
6

150/1
Pair of bumper outings didn't offer much and wide-margin defeats in two recent outings over timber at Hereford and Exeter. Others appeal plenty more.

Forecasts

Umndeni (5/6), Landsman (9/2), Tel'art (6/1), Admiral's Sunset (8/1), Easkey Lad (8/1), Oyster Perch (150/1)

Verdict

It might have been fanciful but can also be taken as positive that connections saw fit to run LANDSMAN in a Grade 3 at Aintree recently. He was well beaten off but the Musselburgh winner had some good prior form and can get back on track here. Umndeni was a costly failure last time but isn't deserted yet while Admiral's Sunset is worth a market check on his reappearance.
