Caught the eye on chase debut here, and built on that with an easy win at Huntingdon. Not in the same form at Stratford (2m3½f) last time, but return to 2m is a plus, and he remains with potential.

Tried at up to 3m, but best effort in this sphere when winning a 2m handicap at Hexham last time by 3¼L from Miss Amelia. More needed to defy a penalty, but sharper test may well be the key to him, and respected.

Has come back off a long absence this season, and taken time to refind his form, but much better signs when a rallying second at Wincanton last time, and every chance if he can build on that now.

Newbury Flat winner (7f, soft) in 2017, when with Paul Cole. 0-10 over obstacles, but was shaping okay when blundering his rider away at Sedgefield last time on chase debut, and not entirely discounted.

Veteran whose form has been largely regressive this season, although still competitive on occasion, finishing third at Chepstow (2m3f) in January. Ran poorly last time, however, and needs to bounce back.

Irresolute veteran who has not been long with current yard. Not disgraced in face of stiff task last time, but hard to get excited by his win prospects given his history of finding nothing off the bridle.

Forecasts

Johnny Yuma (6/4), Anti Cool (11/4), Torrent Des Mottes (9/2), Little Jimmy (8/1), Gin And Tonic (8/1), Mutoondresdashorse (11/1), Yourholidayisover (14/1)

Verdict

TORRENT DES MOTTES was a tad disappointing over further last time, but impressed at this trip at Huntingdon prior to that, and is worth chancing to get back to that level of form. Anti Cool has taken time to rediscover his form this term, but ran well at Wincanton last time, and should go close with a repeat. Johnny Yuma is another who benefited from a drop back in trip when winning at Hexham, and can't be ruled out under his penalty, for all that was a weak race.
