Little Windmillp,t17
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-12| J: Jack Andrews(7)| T: N B King| OR:  112
10/3
Winner at Plumpton in September and runner-up over C&D before a series of poor efforts in the winter. Back on track when runner-up at former track last time, and should go well assuming he gets an easy lead.

Mont Royalep,t25
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-10| J: Alain Cawley| T: J & A O'Neill| OR:  110| C
7/1
Has looked a shadow of his former self since gaining last win at Uttoxeter in July, and didn't get home when tried over 3m at the same course last time. Well handicapped if able to stop the slide, but risky.
4
Horse silk
Silent Stepsp,t10
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-8| J: Dave Crosse| T: N B King| OR:  108| CD
5/2
Made most when third at Wetherby (3m) in December, and not disgraced when reverted to hurdles on last couple of starts, but can look hard work when not dominating, and yard responsible for Little Windmill, who is also best from the front.

Master Vintageh18
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-6| J: C Poste| T: R T Phillips| OR:  106
10/1
Shaped well when a close second on chase bow over 2m at Huntingdon in February, but has disappointed on both subsequent starts, adding to a very patchy profile. Has looked to have stamina limitations over shorter, and now tries 3m for first time.
6
Horse silk
Loch Linnheb118
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-6| J: Joe Williamson(7)| T: G Boanas| OR:  106
7/2
Placed over fences for Mark Walford, and several at least respectable efforts over hurdles for current yard, but ran poorly returned to chasing at Newcastle earlier in the month, and needs to leave that form behind in first-time blinkers.
7

Cruising Byeb,t156
Age: 13|  Weight: 11-0| J: S Bowen| T: P & M Bowen| OR:  100| D
5/1
Wore blinkers for the first time when winning over 2m7f at Worcester (good) in July. Below form next time, and absent since pulled up at Plumpton in November. Could bounce back with yard in form, and market useful.

Forecasts

Danboru (2/1), Silent Steps (5/2), Little Windmill (10/3), Loch Linnhe (7/2), Cruising Bye (5/1), Mont Royale (7/1), Master Vintage (10/1)

Verdict

DANBORU would have been second yet again but for a late fall last time, but he's doing little wrong, and deserves a change of luck. Little Windmill is a big threat if he can gain early supremacy, with Cruising Bye one who would benefit from a burn-up on his return from an absence for a yard amongst the winners.
  1. Danboru
  2. Little Windmill
  3. Cruising Bye
