Poor effort last time out but some of his earlier form gives him every chance here and the better ground will undoubtedly help. Has a course win to his name too, and you can expect to see him coming late on the scene.
Plenty of placed efforts to his name but he simply finds winning difficult and he's not getting much respite from the handicapper either. This trip still a question as well, and not hard to look elsewhere.
Has found a bit of consistency this season, not always been the case, and the fact he comes here a fresh horse is no bad thing (has won after a break). Likely to make a bold bid from the front, and has chances of going all the way.
Took his time to refind his form this year but did it with a bit of style at Uttoxeter last time out, coming away nicely after the last. Conditions ideal again but this is tougher, so needs more from a 6lb higher mark.
Looked to be an improving sort before latest setback at Uttoxeter, although heavy ground there possibly to blame. Had a break since then, so every chance if getting back on track.
Never going at Warwick last time but earlier efforts give him a chance, and these conditions suit him best. Not getting much help from the handicapper but chances all the same.
Win at Kelso in March by far and away his best effort this season, hard to predict and latest last of three at Sedgefield was poor. Given that inconsistency, others readily makes more appeal.
Came right back to form when successful in this grade at Wetherby last time out, jumping well and running out a ready winner. Handicapper asks for more but conditions clearly ideal and in such good heart, isn't discounted.
Forecasts
One Forty Seven (5/2), Petiville (7/2), Blakerigg (9/2), Soupy Soups (6/1), Bafana Blue (9/1), Traditional Dancer (12/1), Fly Rory Fly (18/1), Knockrobin (20/1)
A trappy contest and some caution is advised. BAFANA BLUE can't be faulted on his latest effort and with question marks hanging over a few, looks the best option. Soupy Soups looks like the one that might take them along and can't be allowed too much rope on the lead or he'll be hard to pass. Traditional Dancer can get the better of Blakerigg for the minor honours.
- Bafana Blue
- Soupy Soups
