Decent sort who won at Limerick last October landing a 7f handicap on heavy ground. Failed to finish in the top ten in three starts here previously. Makes little appeal based on polytrack form.
Modest 102-rated handicap hurdler and raced off a mark of 98 on the Flat for trainer Kevin Ryan. Well held on four starts over timber for current connections but worth a market check here on polytrack debut.
Two from 12 starts at this venue, hitting the frame on a further four occasions. Winner on return here earlier this month in a 6f claimer. Leading player stepping up in trip.
Gelding by Street Cry out of a Pivotal mare. Dam Group 3 and Listed winner for trainer Mick Channon. Appeared a little once paced on debut in a Navan 5f maiden last month. Hard to see him making any significant impact.
In fine form in Britain on turf last summer. Has sent out a number of mixed messages on this track in a couple of starts since February. Has run well in cheekpieces in the past which are back on for this contest.
One from 15 in her career and generally well held in a couple of starts last month. First time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
Camacho filly who usually flatters to deceive in here races as witnessed in a couple of starts here since the turn of the year. Ran well in defeat in a Clonmel claimer on Thursday but has plenty to prove in this company.
Forecasts
Kasbah (4/6), Weekend Offender (9/2), Eastern Racer (9/1), Rise Again (12/1), Nothing To Lose (12/1), Moneebb (16/1), The Perch (33/1)
The Ado McGuinness-trained KASBAH would not have to improve much on his win in a 6f claimer here seven days ago to land the spoils in this contest that appears to be lacking in depth. The seven-year-old can see off the attentions of Weekend Offender who was showing solid and consistent form in the 2017 Flat season for trainer Kevin Ryan and can go well here for current connections. Nothing To Lose and Eastern Racer may be left to battle for the minor honours.
- Kasbah
- Weekend Offender
- Nothing To Lose
