- Hereford And Worcester Animal Rescue Novices' Handicap Hurdle (Class 4)
- 2m 5f 55y, Good (Good to Firm in Places)
- 12 Runners
- Surface: Turf
Has a habit of pulling hard in his races to his own detriment, yet to win in six starts but ran fair race at Wincanton latest when upped to this trip. Mark sliding all the while and should get competitive before long.
Modest form in bumpers/over hurdles; better effort at Stratford recently however and strong suspicion he can do better now having his stamina more adequately examined.
Now 9lb lower than when second to the useful Burst Ya Bubble at Warwick last April, but he's not fired since, and was soundly beaten here on his latest start in February. Up in trip with tongue tied added on first start for trainer Kim Bailey.
Winner over 2m6f at Stratford last summer, remains 6lb higher but entitled to come on for recent reappearance at Chepstow and champion jockey stays on board.
Consistent 10-race maiden; best suited by a sound surface (good) as again shown when beaten 4¼L (third) by Benny In Milan at Southwell (2m4f, good) in October. Pair of poor runs in 2019, needs this longer trip to reignite his desire.
Fairly useful on the Flat when with Michael Bell (won off a mark of 74); stayed 1m4f. Changed hands for 27,000 gns to go jumping and showed a bit more in Huntingdon maiden (2m, good to soft; beaten 11L) last time. Possible improver.
Five-race maiden over timber, well beaten in pair of Plumpton handicaps so far over 2m/2m4½f so far and needs to find more upped slightly in trip.
Pulled up on both runs after a two-year absence (blinkers tried first time). Needs huge improvement to play a part. Old form would give him a squeak however.
Irish point-to-point winner who showed some promise in novice hurdles (form patchy) on a variety of surfaces. Best handicap effort last time at Stratford (4¾L third of 14) and chance of better should first-time cheekpieces have desired effect.
Nice-race maiden, not spotted under rules since 2016. Unreliable in point-to-points more recently, often failing to complete and hard to be enthusiastic.
Mare with four wins on the Flat but 0-16 over timber. Capable of making the frame on occasion but hard to win with and, despite fair run last time at Chepstow over 2m, is opposed.
Sent off 33-1 and pulled up on last month's handicap hurdle bow at Sedgefield, in line with previous efforts over timber. Has major improvement to find on formbook.
