Of little account on the Flat (rated 51 at best) and beaten combined tally of 132L in two hurdles runs at Ffos Las and Market Rasen late last year. Wind surgery since and better ground, really needs to improve however.
Flat maiden after nine runs on turf/AW, though has shown some hints of promise, notably over 1m4f at Catterick on good to firm going in the autumn. First start over jumps, market check needed.
Looking one of the yard's lesser lights, having run very moderately last few starts and is now falling quickly in the handicap. Seems to lack any finishing punch and hard to go overboard following another tame effort at Southwell (2m, good).
Some decent form on the Flat in France without getting a win on the board, first start in this country and well worth a look tackling new discipline in a weak race. Market support would be noted.
Pulled-up in all five starts in point-to-points and never a threat in similar event to this at Warwick 13 days ago having gone off a 200-1 chance.
Tailed off on debut in a bumper at Ffos Las in February and fell early during hurdles bow back there on Sunday over 2m6f (sent off 40-1). Best watched for now.
Three-figure prices in trio of novice/maiden hurdle starts so far. Has achieved very little in those outings and impossible to recommend after latest Exeter showing.
0-5 on the Flat when trained in Germany, she showed a little more in her second outing over hurdles both of which have been over C&D, but not enough to warrant support. Looks one for modest low-grade handicaps further down the line.
Forecasts
Santani (11/10), Cock A Doodle Doo (6/4), Wondergirl (11/2), Last Chance Paddy (12/1), Gilwen Gracelyn (16/1), Almontaser (33/1), Ebony's Manor (40/1), Trysor Ynys (50/1)
Gumball won this contest last year but there doesn't appear to be anything of that quality lurking now and, with so little to recommend on form, it is hoped the French import SANTANI can build on the promise of his Flat career to make a winning start for Tom Symonds. Cock A Doodle Doo appears to lack a gear change but does drop back into novice company while another newcomer Last Chance Paddy is also worth some consideration.
