Chasing a hat-trick after a couple of narrow wins; the manner of those successes does suggest the filly has more up her sleeve. Well worth considering even though she has to concede weight all round on her handicap debut.
Won a maiden at Lingfield on her racecourse bow but has been a touch inconsistent since; a good run at Kempton in December was followed by a poor effort on handicap debut last time. Needs to take a big step forward this time.
Cost €50,000 as a yearling and is related to a number of decent performers on the European circuit; won with a bit in hand here over 6f last October but not seen out since. The betting can guide on her first try over this distance.
Cost 62,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-sister to winners over this trip; has run on well since being tried over 7f but possible she may already need a mile. Stable has been in flying form, so she's still worth a betting check at least.
Back over 7f after finding things happening just a touch too quickly last time; and looks on a reasonable mark for her first start in a handicap. Going the right way and dangerous to underestimate; yard being in good form also a big boost.
Has more experience than most of the others but is starting to look exposed (her three runs in France were respectable but nothing out of the ordinary). Wasn't beaten far in her first run in a handicap but does need to take a big step forward here.
Already being cut some slack by the handicapper and has a bit to prove; was going well until hampered over C&D last time but still has improvement to find.
Forecasts
Diamond Oasis (15/8), Gleeful (2/1), Evolutionary (5/1), Chasing The Rain (9/1), Adelante (12/1), Laxmi (12/1), Annecy (25/1)
It may be worth chancing a small investment in GLEEFUL making the most of a potentially lenient mark for her handicap debut. The well-bred filly has caught the eye in each of her three previous starts and will appreciate the return to this trip after finding 6f too sharp last time out. Diamond Oasis is an obvious danger but has to concede 4lb to the selection, while Evolutionary represents a yard in good form and is another to bear in mind if she's supported in the betting market.
