Built on a respectable effort on debut when winning over C&D last month; the gelding made all and won well despite hanging to the left near the finish. More to do under a penalty but has to merit an interest in an ordinary contest.

Well beaten in all three starts and already has a lot of improvement to find. Bred to get further than this and possible a step up in trip will suit when obstacles are in the way further down the line.

Posted a couple of respectable efforts at Wincanton and Lingfield but never really got close to the winner on either occasion. Still learning but is another who is likely to appreciate a longer distance judging by his pedigree.
Cost €45,000 and is a brother to classy Cheltenham Festival winner A Plus Tard, the gelding makes plenty of appeal on pedigree and is well worth noting in the betting. One to consider for sure.

Cost €48,000 as a three-year-old, the Authorized gelding has winners in his pedigree and should have no issues with the trip. Yard can ready a horse of his type; another to bear in mind.

Makes limited appeal on pedigree and has to be a concern that the mare is blinkered for this racecourse debut. Hard to recommend on this occasion.

Forecasts

Mister Coffey (8/11), Sadlermor (5/2), Kap Auteuil (13/2), Mr Woolley (14/1), The Darley Lama (18/1), Dinnerlady (50/1)

Verdict

SADLERMOR won with a bit in hand over C&D last month and won't need to be anything special to shrug off the 7lb penalty in this company. The well-bred Kap Auteull and Mister Coffey are worth a betting check as both are bred in the purple and can be placed to good effect from here. The Darley Lama has gone close in his last couple of starts and may have a bit more to offer, so could also be good value to chase home the selection for forecast players.
  1. Sadlermor
  2. The Darley Lama
  3. Kap Auteuil
