Considered good enough to take his chance in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham last season but has paid his way with a win on the Flat and over hurdles since. Won comfortably last time out and could be hard to resist here.
Useful handicapper on the Flat and has also added to his tally with a win over hurdles at Ludlow; not so good at the same course last time out but still has claims on the pick of his efforts. Shortlisted.
Rated 77 at his best on the Flat and possible he can pay his way now he's switched codes. Needs to step up from his hurdles debut at Warwick but is open to progress at a modest level.
Not achieved very much in three starts over hurdles so far and looks one to be wary of for the time being. Well beaten last time out and will struggle if he can't better that performance here.
Not shown much in the way of ability so far and plenty to find with Glendun after their encounter at Fontwell last time.
Rated 85 at his best on the Flat and is versatile regarding the ground. The betting can guide as the gelding makes his debut over hurdles.
Well beaten in all three previous starts over hurdles and makes limited appeal for a punt on this occasion.
A maiden under both codes of racing and has been well beaten is sellers over hurdles. Another that makes limited appeal from a punting perspective.
Failed to win in 11 starts on the Flat and would be surprising if the gelding is good enough to a successful transition to jumping at the first time of asking.
Forecasts
Arch My Boy (2/7), Takbeer (11/4), Glendun (5/1), Swilly Sunset (14/1), Denis (20/1), Gold Fields (33/1), Oldabbey Bridge (50/1), Kitsune (66/1), Lope De Loop (100/1)
This appears to be a good opportunity for ARCH MY BOY to take another stride forward . Th gelding has already won under both codes and a penalty for winning at Fakenham last time may not be enough to blunt his edge in this company. Takbeer is also going the right way and can give the selection a good test, while Glendun needs to step things up from his hurdles debut if he's going to be thereabouts at the business end.
- Arch My Boy
- Takbeer
- Glendun
