Fell on point-to-point debut in December but has since recorded successive wins at Tallow and Durrow. First start under rules and clearly one to be interested in.
Well Chosen gelding won on his third hunter chase landing a Downpatrick contest last month in facile fashion. Obviously a major player but needs to tidy up his jumping.
Not in the best of form in point-to-points and hunter chases this winter and finds himself in another decent contest here having been well beaten last month at Gowran Park.
Modest rules form, with sole success coming at Listowel almost five years ago. Won a point-to-point at Dromahane in good style last week, so in good health for this mission.
Won a couple of point-to-point contests in the last couple of months and is likely to put together another fair run here.
0-10 previously over regulation fences, looks an unlikely winner having been well beaten in pair of recent point-to-point starts.
Once a beacon in this sphere, winning at Cheltenham Festival in 2012 and again in 2013. Long way below that form in the last couple of years and last month's Gowran Park run a sign that the teenager's enthusiasm is on the wane.
Maiden hurdle winner, unable to register in handicaps. Poor in two recent AW spins around Dundalk and a shock should be pocket this prize.
1-37 record under rules and two years since he managed to record a point-to-point win, hard to see the positives.
Without a win from nine starts over the larger obstacles but has been running well in defeat on a number of occasions. Remains open to improvement and can't be completely ruled out.
Forecasts
Billaway (1/1), It Came To Pass (4/1), Macs Legend (8/1), Holly Flight (10/1), Salsify (12/1), Sound Money (12/1), Blacklough (14/1), Carrignagapple (25/1), Mr Picotee (33/1), Western Man (50/1)
Having had a few of these behind him at Gowran Park early last month as he finished third, BILLAWAY went ahead and opened his account readily at Downpatrick and the Willie Mullins-trained seven-year-old looks sure to progress again in this sphere and should take some halting. Macs Legend has struggled to translate winning point-to-point form across but remains capable while It Came To Pass and Holly Flight are also on the shortlist for places.
