Has two wins (both in 2018) from 15-race career in point-to-points but well fended off last year in pair minor races in this sphere. Needs plenty more, fit from recent point runs.
Beneficial gelding out of a Bob Back mare related to stayers Eastlake and Salsify. Poor form in a couple of point-to-point starts does not gauge much encouragement in this contest.
Fair and consistent in point-to-points, with one win and three placed efforts from six runs. Goes for the first time under rules and interesting to see what market makes of his chance.
Difficult to find any problem with his solid point-to-point form, winning his last three starts before solid fourth behind Burning Ambition last month at Down Royal on rules bow; should have a say even with a repeat of that run.
Decent point-to-point form including a win in November and has run well under rules at Clonmel and Thurles since, twice settling for third spot being fair barometers in this sphere.
Has improved to win 2-3 starts in point-to-points since joining this trainer (fell when contending in middle run). Clearly in good hear ahead of first run under rules.
23-race maiden under rules, not without promise on occasion but pulled up here in November and off since, hard to enthuse on chances.
Fell on point-to-point debut in December but has since recorded successive wins at Tallow and Durrow. First start under rules and clearly one to be interested in.
Forecasts
New Earth (11/4), Myrons (3/1), Casey Jem (9/2), Hi Murphy (5/1), Ajijic (6/1), Bright Rhett (16/1), Sandycove Island (20/1), Benbulben Blue (33/1)
HI MURPHY ran well last month at Downpatrick in a race won by Burning Ambition, who subsequent strong-travelling Aintree second gives the form a strong look. The selection can confirm the promise of that run en route to landing this, having previously been racking up wins in point-to-points. Myrons has been placed in arguably better company so far under rules and is a danger while Casey Jem is worthy of attention in his first run under rules.
