Ran poorly on AW/handicap debut last time returning from a five month break at Wolverhampton over this trip. Now gets his first taste of Fibresand (sire 2-6 on surface) with the cheekpieces on first-time; others offer a more potent threat.
Ran with credit on his handicap debut after a fair absence off a 1lb higher mark (may have come on for that run). Hits this surface for the first time (stable/sire have a good record on Fibresand); one of the more likely types in this.
Showed dome fair maiden form in Ireland, joined a yard that does well with this type especially on this surface (sire has a 1-15 record here though). Drops down slightly in trip from his debut for the stable to make his Fibresand debut; shortlisted.
Dropped 3lb from his opening mark he returns from an absence for his second handicap try for his first run on Fibresand. Steps up significantly in trip (4f) for his return but does come from a stable that does well here; may just need this run.
Failed to win a race as a juvenile (0-6) at up to 1m he was beaten in a AW (Lingfield) seller the last time he was seen. Now steps up 4f in trip for his first taste of Fibresand (sire has a modest record here); others hold more scope and appeal.
Only raced at up to 1m in three starts last year where he failed to progress from a debut which suggested there was more to come. Now makes his handicap/Fibresand debut returning from a long absence; faces a difficult task.

Some educated guesswork required here with none of this group having yet won a race with all of them stepping out onto the Fibresand for the first time with most of them having not run over this far. MONDAIN looks the most obvious one to benefit from this trip and surface being by Dubawi and coming from a stable known for their staying types. Tigray similarly would hold out hopes of being able to score here having shown some fair form and the stable certainly know the time of day on this surface. Most of the others have questions to answer although Simon’s Smile from a another yard that do well here makes some appeal if he is ready to go.
