Has won eight times for current yard including last time out at Wincanton where he stayed on well to score off 4lb lower mark. Fair chance if in same form although consistency has never really been his strong suit.

Scored over C&D in May last year and went in again at Stratford following month. Not firing on all cylinders in two recent starts but is clearly a spring horse so better ground and the sunshine should help his cause.

Won over C&D two years ago at this meeting off 10lb higher makr but is now well into the veteran stage and is getting any quicker. That said, has finished runner-up on three of last five starts and should be thereabouts.

All three wins have come with plenty of give underfoot so quicker conditions have to be a concern. Well beaten over 3m last time when favourite at Ffos Las having previously run creditably at Sandown and Chepstow.

Forecasts

Lord Bryan (11/8), Deauville Dancer (5/2), Fox Appeal (3/1), Cut The Corner (9/2), Duhallow Lad (9/2), Yorkist (9/2)

Verdict

Getting plenty of weight all round DUHALLOW LAD is fancied to recoup losses incurred at Newbury last time as he steps back up to what appears to be his optimum trip. He is well weighted on his best form. Biggest danger could be Cut The Corner who likes the sun on his back and is a previous course and distance winner. Top weight Deauville Dancer is certainly respected and may go close if reproducing the form of his recent win, whlie old Fox Appeal is not out of it if on a going day. Yorkist represnts a top team but has stamina to prove.
  1. Duhallow Lad
  2. Cut The Corner
  3. Deauville Dancer
