Won twice over C&D in 2017 but is still 9lb higher than last of those successes. Good runner-up in Sussex National at Plumpton in January though, and with good amateur claiming 7lb should give a fair account of himself.
Won three times over fences in 2018, last of those successes coming off a mark 1lb lower than here. Disappointing last two starts on soft ground, and although has won two on heavy may actually prefer this sounder surface.
Formerly trained in Ireland by Noel Meade and won a 2m4f hurdle there last October. Joined currrent yard in March and has run poorly both starts since. Eased 4lb but better ground may help the cause and yard is in decent form.
Yard has fair 18% strike rate at this track. Best effort this term came over almost this trip at Ludlow in January when beaten just three-quarters-of-a-length off 2lb higher mark. Chance if able to run to a similar level here.
0-12 but was on his way to victory at Fakenham in March when clear and fell at the last in 2m5f event. 4lb higher now and steps up in trip but first time cheekpieces applied to help concentration and has every chance.

Assuming he's none the worse for his final fence tumble at Fakenham last month, PRIMAL FOCUS is fancied to make amends and finally get off the mark. In an open affair the top weight Calin Du Brizais and is one of the few guaranteed to see out the trip, while Bramble Brook also stays well and may improve on this decent ground. Lex Talionis is another with a squeak if back to his best.
