- Reece Tooze Memorial Handicap Hurdle (Class 3)
- 3m 1f,
- 4 Runners
- Surface: Turf
A sliding mark would be the reason for siding with him (9lb below his last winning mark) although in truth he's come nowhere near his previous form this year. Failed to fire last time back from a break; makes limited appeal on recent achievements.
Inconsistent type who is a capable of some good form as shown by his third at Wetherby in December (well positioned, proved hard to pass). Underlined his profile by running poorly next time; returns from a break, has run well fresh before.
Fair while since he recorded a win but showed last time out that he still had the ability to do so on his stable debut. Without his usual tongue-tie did well to come from off the pace in a steadily-run race over C&D; up 3lb, leading chance.
Conditions will be different to when he ran third over a shorter trip at Down Royal on his handicap debut last time. Merits plenty of respect on that run (looked as though he would be suited by 3m); has to prove he can handle a quicker surface.
