Smart performer (C&D winner) who was last successful off top weight in a 5f Lingfield handicap (suited by this trip 5-13). Seven runs since then without winning but has run with credit on most of those starts; from a yard in good form.
Useful handicapper who makes his debut for this yard after leaving Robert Cowell (ran no sort of race on his last start for that yard). C&D winner but no great record fresh of late; faces a tough task at the weights in this company.
Trainer in top form (5-15 last 14 days); has a chance with this course winner of improving that record (last five wins all come on the AW). Latest win came in a competitive Chelmsford sprint handicap; ran a very sound race last time over C&D.
The losing run is starting to mount (stands at 18 presently); comes here off a particularly sub-standard run last time (finished last of 8). Now back on the AW (slightly better record on synthetics); more needed at the weights.
Back to winning ways over C&D on his penultimate start in a handicap (had needed the run on his previous two starts); course suits his run style (3-4 here). This race requires more though and he looks a little out of his depth.
Has come to hand early for the last two seasons winning on both occasions over 5f on turf. Now gets his new campaign underway trying a synthetic surface for the first time (apparently needs soft ground); very speedy sort.
Two-time course winner (3-10 on AW) both over 6f who has raced almost exclusively on the AW for the past year or so. Wasted no time getting back to form last time here over 6f (made all); in form but takes a rise in grade here.
