Kodiac colt, cost €52,000 as a foal and £135,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to four winners including three at sprint trips and dam a 1m winner. Plenty to like about his debut effort earlier in the month; makes plenty of appeal here.
Helmet colt, cost €14,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to three winners and dam a 1m1f winner. Looked in need of the experience on debut and may do better here.
Dandy Man colt, cost €22,000 as a foal and £42,000 as a yearling. Stuck to his task well on debut at Leicester when third of 10 but may need more to get involved here.
Dandy Man colt, cost 16,000 gns as foal and €20,000 as yearling. Half-brother to four winners including a smart sprinter. Dam, 7f juvenile winner and half-sister to Group 3 winner. Appealing pedigree and market likely best guide to chance on debut.
Finjaan colt, cost €800 as a yearling. Half-brother to two juvenile winners (1m). Dam a half-sister to French Group 2 winner. May do better over further than this and sales price is off-putting.
Fountain Of Youth gelding, cost £15,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to 6f winner and dam a half-sister to two talented sprinters. Worth a market check on debut.
Bungle Inthejungle filly, cost 7,000 gns as a yearling. Half-sister to a 1m winner and dam a 7f winner. Yard not synonymous with first-time out winners and makes limited appeal here.
Forecasts
Alminoor (4/9), Danny Ocean (7/2), Bendy Spirit (9/1), Manolith (20/1), The Mystery Wizard (33/1), Vardon Flyer (40/1), Amnaa (66/1)
Mark Johnston does well with his runners here ALMINOOR makes most appeal in the opener. He cost plenty as a yearling, is bred for this sort of test and produced a pleasing effort on debut. The other two with experience make most appeal from the remainder when Bendy Spirit narrowly preferred to Danny Ocean after a good run in a competitive field last time out.
