77-rated handicapper on the Flat for trainer Ralph Beckett. Drops in trip for first run for new connections with the market likely to be the best guide in first-time tongue tie.
Winner of one of his 13 starts over C&D but currently races 17lb lower than his last winning mark. Hard to make a case here on recent form to hand.
Win and a place over C&D, the win coming on his latest start last month off a 8lb lower mark. Repeat of that form should see the Rip Van Winkle mare in the hunt for more prize money.
Four-time winner at this venue including a win over C&D earlier this month in a claiming contest on his sole start for previous trainer Thomas Coyle. One to consider on recent displays.
Just squeezed carried out of second place when finishing 2¼L behind Sheisdiesel over C&D last month. Raced too keenly when last seen later in the month over shorter trip. Needs to settle better in his races but holds strong place claims.
Running with plenty of promise last term and carried that over into the new season when finishing second of nine beaten a short-head in a 1m2½f handicap here last month. One of the more likely types.
Caught the eye when showing a good turn of foot running on well from the rear to finish fourth at Leopardstown earlier this month. Trainer has a rigid 45% win and place strike rate in this month at this track in the last couple of seasons.
Popular veteran who was well beaten on return to action this month round here over C&D. Hasn't shown enough since his win at Sligo in August to be of interest.
Has a record of three from 19 over C&D with her last win over the combination coming three years ago. Form has dropped off significantly and overs preferred.
Forecasts
Miss Snossyboots (5/4), Waterboy (4/1), Political Policy (5/1), Georgian Bay (13/2), Rockfish (8/1), Construct (11/1), Alhajjaj (12/1), Poitin (25/1), Glenbank King (66/1)
Mick Halford's Rip Van Winkle mare, MISS SNOSSYBOOTS got of the mark over C&D last month, beating Itsalonglongroad 1L and the five-year-old can defy the 8lb penalty here under jockey Ronan Whelan. Hat-trick seeking C&D winner Georgian Bay could emerge as the biggest danger with Waterboy and Construct liable to produce a good account of themselves.
- Miss Snossyboots
- Georgian Bay
- Waterboy
