Winner at Musselburgh last May but hit and miss thereafter. Seemed better for a break when noted making late gains on last month's return. He is at his best when fresh so will need to strike soon.

Pillar to post winner at Southwell and Musselburgh for Kevin Ryan who has also been placed on Tapeta at Newcastle. Goes well fresh but today's task requires a career best.

Much better here than elsewhere with four successes including three over C&D. Nicely drawn and has slipped below his last winning mark following his latest run when he was hampered. Prior run here in February had suggested his turn was near.

Down the field in a Lingfield claimer on Wednesday but he is a much better horse on this surface. Has paid the price for his consistency and the handicapper has set him a stiff task here.

Claims on his January second to Portledge but he was a long way behind that rival last time. Much better on turf and his last four wins have come in a hood.

Weighted to give a good account and he will be all the better for his recent return to action when beaten by a fitter improving rival. Stable took this last year and he has to enter calculation at a track where he has gone well previously.

In here on the same mark as when making all to gain a first AW success over C&D in February. Has a 3-6 record from marks below 70 so not easy to discount, but unlikely to have an uncontested lead this time.

Appreciated the strong gallop to share a first AW success at Newcastle in February over 6f. Will get a good pace to aim at here but he is yet to win over 7f and this is a better race.

Produced two solid efforts at Chelmsford and Kempton in October off a mark of 76. Has failed to beat a rival in three starts since joining this yard.

Dual C&D winner is below his last winning and back to form after going down narrowly last time. All three AW wins have come in class 6 races and he is 0-6 at this level.

Form was on a downward curve before joining this yard. Produced a rare glimpse of former ability on her penultimate outing but was back to her more common and moderate standard last time.

Murdanova (7/2), Marshal Dan (4/1), Lucky Lodge (5/1), Sureyoutoldme (8/1), Luis Vaz De Torres (8/1), Muatadel (8/1), How Bizarre (8/1), De Little Engine (16/1), It Must Be Faith (16/1), Gabrial The Tiger (18/1), Hollander (25/1), Rosarno (66/1)

Verdict

A race where a few of these are attractively weighted, but one where the likes of Muatadel, Lucky Lodge and De Little Engine may be punching above their weight. Sureyoutoldme, Marshall Dan and MURDANOVA have all indicated they are ready to score soon. The selection reserves his best for here and has slipped below his last winning mark. He has never been at his best at Lingfield and ran into trouble there last time. He'd gone well here though on his previous start and a nice draw, with two front-runners to give him the decent gallop he needs, should be enough to see him gain a fifth course success.
