Promising fifth in a novices' handicap hurdle over an extended 2m3f at Chepstow (good-to-soft) on handicap debut last month. Further improvement likely and fitted with a tongue tie for the first time.
Signs of ability in three hurdles starts so far including when 23L eighth at Ludlow (2m, soft) in December. Interesting upped in distance on debut in handicaps.
Walked over at Sedgefield (good-to-soft) on his penultimate start and finished a good 4L second at Carlisle (2m1f, heavy) subsequently. Interesting contender racing off a 1lb higher mark than for that Carlisle second.
Six race maiden returned from a break with a 44L seventh in a maiden hurdle over an extended 2m3f at Huntingdon (good) early last month. Probably best watched on handicap debut.
Returning from a break when winning over an extended 2m4f at Market Rasen (good-to-soft) a month ago. Raised 6lb for that success and is one to note in this contest.
Placed once from six starts over hurdles but disappointing in recent starts including when pulled up in first time cheekpieces (absent here) at Chepstow (good-to-soft) last month.
Off for two months prior to finishing 13½L fourth in a 2m5f handicap hurdle at Warwick (soft) last time out. Drop in trip shouldn't inconvenience too much and he is interesting off a mark 17lb lower than for his sole previous success.
Seven race maiden showed promise when 24L eighth in a big field handicap hurdle at Punchestown (2m4f, good-to-yielding) on handicap debut in February. Early casualty on only subsequent start and cheekpieces tried for the first time on this occasion.
Decent effort when 11L fourth in a 17 runner handicap hurdle over this trip on good ground at Hereford last time out. Races off a 2lb lower mark here and has a promising conditional jockey booked to ride.
Dual hurdles winner including over C&D and returned from wind surgery with a good fourth over 2m6f at Stratford (good) a fortnight ago. Tongue tie worn for the first time that day is retained.
Forecasts
Helford River (11/4), Brunel Woods (5/1), Wazowski (11/2), No Alarm (6/1), Classic Tune (13/2), Brigadier Bob (8/1), Exotic Friend (16/1), Armattiekan (25/1), Pino Boy (25/1), Diamond Rose (25/1)
NO ALARM was a winner last time out and he looks capable of following up in this handicap hurdle. Olly Murphy's charge has the trip and ground both to suit and he can get the better of his rivals here with Wazowski, placed on his most recent start capable of claiming second ahead of Helford River who showed promise on handicap debut last time out.
- No Alarm
- Wazowski
- Helford River
