Has put in some good displays recently, made all to win at Plumpton last time out and looks well worth a crack at this trip now. Handles good ground well, and this genuine type looks sure to go well again.
Has a good win ratio, and one of those successes has come here, so handles the track fine. Might have found Kelso's 26f a bit too far last time and this drop back to 3m ideal. May not have finished improving yet.
Has shown a liking for good ground, which he should get here, winner of three of his last five and quietly impressive when finding plenty for pressure to score at Ludlow latest. Up in trip but should stay, and represents top yard.
Maiden hurdle winner at Chepstow last October, but not gone on from that as might have been expected. Well beaten Sandown latest but soft ground a possible excuse, and could yet do better for a step up to 3m.
Three wins in eight starts, but that doesn't tell the whole story as he's not really going forward and suffered another reverse at Sandown last time. May do better back on good ground but there's questions to answer at present.
Four wins in nine Rules starts but the worry is that all four have come on soft/heavy ground, which he's very unlikely to get here. Step up to 3m may help in that regard, and is in good form, but it has to be a concern today.
Lightly raced, finished off with a rattle (3m) at Uttoxeter latest to run Little Millie to a neck, form that looks strong now. Form of the yard a big concern, but he looks to hold a first-rate chance on form and may well improve again.
Forecasts
Myplaceatmidnight (11/4), Landofsmiles (7/2), Before Midnight (5/1), Rhythm Is A Dancer (5/1), Senior Citizen (6/1), Sam's Adventure (8/1), Aye Right (12/1)
There could be a bit of a battle for the lead, with Myplaceatmidnight, Rhythm Is A Dancer and Aye Right all having made the running recently, and maybe this is set up for something that is more patiently ridden to come from off the pace. LANDOFSMILES readily fits the bill, having come from well off the gallop to be second to Little Millie at Uttoxeter last time, and that form, with the winner scoring again since, looks strong.
