Touch disappointing when only fourth at Doncaster last time but has had just three starts under Rules and won well penultimate outing on Town Moor. Plenty of weight but still unexposed so has to be respected in first-time hood.
Stayed on well over 3m to win at Musselburgh in December off 6lb lower mark. Back from wind surgery and faded only after last when fourth there last time and may do better now. Looks a player.
Fell 1st on both attempts in novice chases early this term and hasn't shown much spark in two starts since returning to hurdles. Faced tougher task at Newbury last time though and has been eased 3lb since. Tongue-tie applied.
Won three times in Ireland, inlcuding a Kilbeggan chase for Willie Mullins last May. Not shown much in four starts since joining current yard and although given a chance by the handicapper is hard to enthuse over.
Has hinted at a little ability in novice and maiden hurdles and makes handicap bow here. Yard has healthy 24% strike rate at this track so any market support would be well worth noting.
Landed fine hat-trick of handicap hurdles at Southwell earlier this season but has taken a sharp rise in the weights as a result. Pulled up at Warwick in testing ground last time and will do well to defy his mark. Jockey booking encouraging though.
Needs to brush up his jumping but did show a little more on fourth start last time at Huntingdon. Makes handicap debut now but will do well to bustle up the market principals.
Finally got off the mark at the 25th time of asking when winning at Perth over 3m last summer. Absent since, runs off 3lb highe rmark, and trip may be a little sharp for him these days.
Not disgraced in all four starts so far this term including latest handicap debut when fourth of 17 here last time over 2m3f. Step up in trip may help and is 1lb lower so a decent show cannot be ruled out.
Forecasts
My Charity (7/2), Steel Wave (5/1), De Forgotten One (5/1), Clondaw Storm (13/2), Speedy Buck (8/1), Debrouillard (9/1), Zamoyski (10/1), Morraman (11/1), Christmas Twenty (14/1)
DE FORGOTTEN ONE is the least exposed of these and is fancied to regain the winning trhead after running below his best last time at Doncaster. On his previous effort he would have a fine chance. At the foot of the weights it would not surprise to see Debrouillard go well, and Morraman is another who should be on the premises. Michael Scudamore does well at this track so his Speedy Buck also enters calculations.
- De Forgotten One
- Debrouillard
- Speedy Buck
