Trainer James Tate is in terrific form at the moment and couple that with his 20% strike-rate here and his filly DISTANT MIRAGE has to be of interest before you even start to look at her form which stands up to close inspection especially her last run. Devil’s Angel looks the type to improve and this C&D novice winner looks the main danger although there are a few other lurking on what may well be potentially lenient marks. Those would include Rich Approach who will need a strong pace to run at and Midnight In Havana who looks to have been brought along for a test such as this. Rambaldi is a capable sort but surely needs more of a test than he will get here.
