Been running with credit since coming back off an absence this season, almost getting his head in front at Warwick in February, but not hard to think the handicapper has him about right off this mark, and this trip a bare minimum for him these days.
C&D winner last October and only 2lb higher here, so no issues with this mark, but two moderate efforts since then temper enthusiasm. However, first start for new yard and wouldn't be the first one they have turned around, so not discounted.
Useful handicap chaser at best, capable of form in better grade than this but has looked on the downgrade for a while and hopes now rather pinned on a change of scenery (first start for new yard) to turn his fortunes around. Well handicapped if so.
Had his first taste of success for a while when winning at Exeter in November, not seen since then but has gone okay fresh before, so that may not be a concern. Trip and ground fine, cheekpieces retained and has a squeak in an open race.
Continued his run of good form with another solid effort (in better grade than this) at Ludlow last time, has his conditions once again (likes good ground) and this game, genuine type looks sure to be on the premises once more.
Not seen out since last May, where he found the trip too far at Fakenham, and will find this more suitable. However, yard struggling for form at present and likely to need this after an absence, so others make a bit more appeal.
Form a little patchy, might have been biting off more than he could chew at Cheltenham last time (back in October) but was a C&D winner previously, so may find this easier. However, hasn't fired after a break in the past, so may need the outing.

Monbeg Gold (5/2), Global Dream (5/2), Lord Getaway (7/2), Hepijeu (9/2), Rhaegar (9/2), Cornish Warrior (8/1), Bells 'n' Banjos (16/1), Grove Silver (25/1)
A tricky renewal of the Chutney Dave Half Century Handicap, and a few can be given a squeak. The likes of Rhaegar and Bells 'n' Banjos could both do better for their new yards, and are well enough handicapped if a change of scenery has perked them up a bit. Lord Getaway continues in great form and shouldn't be far away, and Grove Silver can't be given too much rope on the front. HEPIJEU gets the vote as he's got his conditions again, is game and genuine, and finds plenty for pressure. He can take this at the expense of Global Dream, who should be staying on when others have had enough.
- Hepijeu
- Global Dream
- Lord Getaway
