Not the most straightforward and hard to win with (0-7 here); did manage to end a long losing run off a career-low mark at Fontwell (2m6f, soft), reverted to type since. Shaped better than bare result last time but finishing effort questionable.
C&D winner off a 1lb lower mark in November on a sound surface who has run well on occasions since then without winning. Tackled stronger company last time than he needs to over C&D (0-120); ran with credit in much more testing conditions.
Fair handicapper over fences who took advantage of the drop in grade plus being given a chance by the handicapper to win at Fontwell last time. Well supported on that occasion he's still well handicapped but has to repeat that run.
Not the most reliable of souls but did win on his return last year over this sort of trip; has rarely been seen in the same form since. Returns from another absence off his last winning mark; visor now on first-time; comes with questions to answer.
Incredibly frustrating sort who had until his latest outing racked up six runner-up slots in a row (three over C&D). Looked to throw away a golden opportunity when last seen over C&D (beaten by Kiwi Myth); failed to make the frame last time.
Appears to be missing the temporarily closed Towcester (all four career wins there). Fared poorly on his two runs this year (both at Wincanton) looking badly out of sorts last time; hard to present a sound case for him.
In a rich vein of form this year winning four out of his five starts progressing again last time to record his third chase win. Often makes at least one error (failed to stop him so far); remains one to keep on side despite the mistakes.
Took well to chasing on his debut (bred for the job) although his temperament hasn't always been a sound one. His indolent side got the better of him at Chepstow last time (pulled up, ran a shocker); on balance one to be wary of.
Slipped a long way down the weights since he last won (off a mark 32lb higher); failed to convince overall since that last victory. Gone with more zest in his last two starts (blinkers on; retained here); races prominently, chances off this mark.
Finally off the mark when taking a C&D handicap defeating the reluctant Big Time Frank (proved more determined than the runner-up). Conditions won't be as stamina-sapping here but she still figures off a lowly mark.
Generally poor form over fences failing to complete last time (although that was through no fault of his own). Previous efforts when he has completed have failed to convince though; will need others to fail to win this.
Yet to really convince over fences as yet (0-9); failed to match his modest hurdles form. Pulled up on his last effort over C&D his two most recent chasing starts after a break leave him with a lot to find here.
Poor handicap chaser (1-14) his one win coming when putting in a better round of jumping than is usual over 2m4f. Proved his stamina for this trip over C&D last time but still has ground to make up on Kiwi Myth/Big Time Frank; jumping leaves doubts.

Coopers Square (3/1), Troika Steppes (5/1), Kiwi Myth (13/2), Heluvagood (13/2), Big Time Frank (7/1), Cap Horner (12/1), Touch Screen (16/1), Sartorial Elegance (16/1), Midnight Magic (16/1), Dont Be Robin (20/1), Over The Arch (20/1), Tactical Manoeuvre (25/1), Water Wagtail (33/1), How's My Friend (33/1)
Very few in his that have solid profile and quite a few that backers will find hard to trust. Big Time Frank is probably the biggest enigma in the race having thrown away a winning chance on his penultimate run here, Kiwi Myth taking advantage. Sartorial Elegance, Cap Horner and Touch Screen all have a chance of sorts but the trio also have question marks against them on various scores. A better display from Heluvagood can’t be ruled out especially on this sounder surface but in the end all roads lead back to COOPERS SQUARE. His jumping has some flaws but he usually manages to overcome those and his fifth win of the season is within reach.
- Coopers Square
- Heluvagood
- Kiwi Myth
