Stable in very good form and showed ability in last two of three quick starts last year. Gelded but wasn't fancied and well beaten on last month's handicap debut. Down in grade but more required.

Best run of three for Archie Watson last year came on her sole AW start. Handicap debut for new stable going well and market should prove informative.

Battle of Marengo colt showed mixed form in four starts in Ireland and was unfancied and very well beaten on last month's stable debut. Remains best watched.

Gelded and left last year's form behind when running on well for a good second on handicap debut at Kempton. Race was backed up by a good time and likely more to offer up in trip. Leading contender.

Returned to debut promise when third in a Brighton novice on his third start last year. Handicap and season debut and could be involved with improvement.

Camelot filly ran to a similar level in three starts last year without really progressing. Market support should be noted but more required off this opening handicap mark.

Oxbow colt, cost $215,000 as a yearling and rapidly improving in AW handicaps this year. Denied a hat-trick when narrow third (one place behind Lee Roy) at Kempton. Gets a 3lb pull and shouldn't be far away again.

Hasn't really built on the promise of her maiden win at Wolverhampton. Comfortably held when third at Yarmouth latest and may be worth returning to the AW in time.

Beaten only a neck behind Lee Roy at Kempton and a bit disappointing he couldn't build on that at Lingfield. Chance if bouncing back but needs to show he's as effective on turf.

Represents a top stable in red-hot form but proved a very disappointing on handicap debut when never able to get involved despite favouritism. Remains one to watch on turf debut.

Nine-race maiden showed ability last season while proving somewhat inconsistent.Gelded ahead of reappearance but best run came on heavy ground so may be best waiting for similar conditions.

Sold for £3,500 out of Conor Dore's stable with just a win in selling company adding to a similar success when with Mick Channon. Struggled so far in handicaps and may face the same fate again.

Forecasts

Lethal Missile (6/4), Sir Ox (7/1), Lee Roy (7/1), Dark Glory (8/1), Dancing Jo (9/1), Barasti Dancer (9/1), Ventura Bay (10/1), Mushaageb (10/1), Moveonup (10/1), Perfecimperfection (16/1), Jungle Juice (25/1), Petits Fours (33/1), Champagne Marengo (50/1), Knockabout Queen (50/1)

Verdict

LETHAL MISSILE got a bit too far back on handicap debut so there was a lot to like about the way he ran on with this extra furlong likely to bring further progress. Sir Ox and Lee Roy are closely matched and both are on a sharp upward curve from their AW exploits.

  2. Sir Ox
  3. Lee Roy
