Has found the fences getting in the way too often and returned to the smaller obstacles in a much stronger contest at Haydock. This far more realistic and interesting having slipped to a good mark.
Struggled to see out 3m2f at Warwick last time but low mileage and Ascot third prior to that reads well here. More to come and surprise if he isn't in the mix.
Won a bad novice at Sandown two years ago but has shown nothing since and can only hope the wind surgery since last run has worked the oracle.
Regular visitor here with two wins and more placed efforts. First win for ages when scoring in game fashion at Bangor last time but 4lb rise is fair and not ruled out.
Landed a gamble at Bangor in January before Market Rasen defeat almost certainly came too soon. Back to winning form at Catterock last month and another step forward on the cards as he has few miles on the clock.
Not an easy ride and didn't seem to improve for wind surgery before last run. Hard to know what to expect.
Built on respectable Haydock second with a game win at Newbury last time. Still fairly treated after 5lb rise and can go well again.
Was becoming disappointing over fences but should have gained some confidence with a spin over hurdles last time. Very well weighted in this sphere these days and another step forward a possibility.
Not at same level she showed under Harry Fry since joining this yard and others arrive here in better form.
Soft ground winner in 2017 but generally avoids such ground these days and has fitness to prove as well.
Failed in hat-trick bid here in December behind a rival who was on a roll. Big step up in trip today and probably has to improve for it.
In good heart throughout last season but has been well below par last two runs and bit to prove at present.
Career best when winning at Plumpton in December so absence since a slight concern. 7lb rise is fair enough if she comes here in the same heart.
One time smart hurdler but only form in the past three years was when landing a bit of a gamble at Uttoxeter a year ago. Can only be of interest if the money comes.
Forecasts
Jabulani (11/4), Newtide (7/2), Iwilldoit (8/1), Royal Claret (8/1), Silverhow (9/1), Driftwood Haze (10/1), Sneaky Feeling (12/1), Whitley Neill (12/1), Radical Archie (16/1), Solighoster (20/1), Trafalgar Rock (22/1), Wishicould (25/1), Lamanver Odyssey (25/1), Kayf Moss (33/1)
Plenty to be considered and narrow preference is for NEWTIDE who is lightly raced and should find this his optimum trip. Silverhow is of real interest on his best form over hurdles and any market move should be heeded while similar remarks apply to Solighoster.
- Newtide
- Silverhow
- Solighoster
