Best effort this season when just beaten at Sandown in February. Not quite up to that on subsequent but big player on his best form.
Fifth in the National a year ago but has looked moody this season, particularly when pulled up at Uttoxeter last month.
Disappointing when well backed at Newbury last time but may have been ridden too aggressively and still capable of bold showing on previous form this term.
Pulled up three consecutive runs over fences but confidence back with a win over hurdles before a step in the right direction on latest. More needed here however.
Reportedly suffering from irregular heartbeat when pulled up at Taunton. In top form prior to that with wins at Exeter and Sandown and can very easily bounce back,
Has been hurdling a fair bit of late but clearly better over the larger obstacles winning two of his last four. Conditions fine and yet another to command respect.
This demands more than Bangor win in January but that was only his second start over fences and can step forward though this is a tougher contest.
Front runner who was in good heat at this time last year but yet to win at this far and others could be stronger stayers.
Totally out of sorts at present and impossible to fancy on current form despite the fact he is now below his last winning mark.
Warwick specialist who hasn't been at her best this season and comes here off the back of a heavy fall at Newcastle last month.
Losing run building up and didn't jump with any fluency at Ascot a week ago though has gone well for this rider before which is a plus.
Hat-trick scorer in 2017. Has threatened a revival a couple of occasions this term without quite following it through and particularly disappointing when well backed at Hexham last time.
Forecasts
Lord Bryan (9/2), Ask The Weatherman (11/2), Ami Desbois (7/1), Achille (8/1), Looks Like Power (8/1), Horatio Hornblower (8/1), Shanroe Santos (10/1), Holdbacktheriver (11/1), Milansbar (11/1), Sparkling River (11/1), Court Frontier (12/1), On The Road (40/1)
ACHILLE has an excuse for his latest run and had looked a stayer going places with his previous wins. He is taken to bounce back at the main expense of Shanroe Santos and Ami Desbois.
- Achille
- Shanroe Santos
- Ami Desbois
