Has been running to a consistent standard over both sets of obstacles recently, but it is still almost two years since his last success and he may be vulnerable to a less exposed rival.
Less exposed over hurdles than fences and better handicapped in this discipline as a result. Gets his trip and less highly tried but he is difficult to catch right.
All out to win a Killarney maiden hurdle and difficult to place subsequently. Makes handicap debut off a fair mark after eight months off and any rain may be detrimental.
Goes well here but has 26L to find with Fine Theatre on last month's run and he would appreciate much softer ground than forecast.
Winner of a Sligo maiden hurdle over 2m4f in August on hurdles bow. Beaten three times since but he has shown that this trip on a sound surface could see him add to his tally.
Sole win over hurdles came over 2m here a year ago. Has taken well to fences where he is now rated 139 and worth a try over the smaller obstacles where a 24lb lower mark makes him a tempting proposition.
Best at this trip and handles any going. Not at all badly handicapped judged on his chase form and he will be fitter for last month's return. Each-way claims.
Justified odds-on favouritism when taking a 2m4f maiden hurdle at Clonmel (good) in November. Highly tried since but will be more of a force here if conditions remain sound.
Landed his maiden at Cork but he has been disappointing since. Has had a break since a poor Fairyhouse run in January and others have stronger claims.
In good form on dry ground last autumn. Any rain would add to his problems as he has an absence to overcome and others look better treated.
Landed a quick C&D double in January of last year but inconsistent since and he is weighted to require a career best.
Much improved on last two starts with a Fairyhouse fourth to Halsafari in January over this trip looking good enough. Beaten since when finding 2m too sharp and initial handicap mark looks tempting.
Easy winner at Thurles in 2017 and positive signs lately although he still appears in the grip of the handicapper.

Ask Nile and Epswell should give good accounts if conditions remain sound. However, SPEAKER CONNOLLY is less ground dependant and the improvement he has shown over fences is not factored into this course winner's hurdles mark. Darver Star could have been let in lightly on his handicap debut, whilst Static Jack has his trip and is another who looks better handicapped over these smaller obstacles.
