Horse silk
66/1
First foal out of a versatile dam (7f and 1m6f Flat winner; 2m-2m4f hurdles scorer); should benefit for this initial racecourse experience; others preferred.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Tom Marquand| T: B J Meehan
3/1
£30,000 yearling; slowly away and kept on steadily past beaten horses inside the final furlong on debut at Newbury (6f+ maiden, good to soft) in October 2018; more to offer now upped in trip.

Horse silk
11/2
€50,000 yearling; third foal; half-brother to the 7f winner Starlight Romance and the 1m2f AW winner Ecureuil; of interest with James Doyle booked for the mount.
€7,000 yearling; fourth foal; half-brother to the French 1m1f+ winner Cloud Dancer; dam was a Group-placed 1m-1m2f winner; monitor the market for any signs of confidence.

€27,000 foal, £75,000 yearling; ninth foal; brother to the 5f-6f winner The Daley Express, half-brother to four winners including Apache Ridge (6f).

Horse silk
7/4
32,000gns yearling; half-brother to three winners including the stayer Rare Rhythm (1m-1m6f); slowly away, but shaped reasonably encouragingly when finishing fifth on debut at Wolverhampton (7f) ten-days ago.

Horse silk
Sacred Warner27
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: H Crouch| T: C G Cox
50/1
First foal from a Scandanavian winning dam; not shown enough so far in a couple of spins on the AW at Kempton (7f) to imply that he's worthy of much consideration.
9
(11)
Horse silk
33/1
First foal from a placed dam (1m-1m2f) who was also a half-sister to a couple of winners (7f-1m1f); others appear to be more likely candidates.
10
(6)
Horse silk
20/1
Second foal from a 1m2f winning dam (Invincible Cara) who was a half-sister to the 7f/1m Group 3 winner Elusive Pimpernel; probably stronger with a run or two under his belt.
11
(3)
Horse silk
100/1
€12,000 yearling; half-brother to the 1m2f-1m4f winner Athlon amongst others; comfortably held in two 1m AW novice contests; likely outsider.

Horse silk
Jeanette May34
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-9| J: Hollie Doyle| T: W Stone
200/1
Dick Turpin filly; started 50/1 on debut at Chelmsford (7f) last month when racing keenly early, and finishing a distant last of four to Shanghai Grace; of little interest accordingly.

Horse silk
Saikung149
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-9| J: Jason Watson| T: C Hills
11/2
Acclamation filly; resold as a yearling for 42,000gns; ran well on debut at Kempton in October (7f) finishing a close-up sixth to Desirous; unable to quite replicate that initial promise at Chelmsford a few weeks later; off since.

Forecasts

Oasis Prince (7/4), Dominus (3/1), Saikung (11/2), Hat Yai (11/2), Noble Prospector (12/1), San Sebastian (20/1), Take It Down Under (33/1), Sandy Steve (33/1), Sacred Warner (50/1), Mousquetaire (50/1), Best Haaf (66/1), Sir Canford (100/1), Jeanette May (200/1)

Verdict

Not masses of form to work with, so stakes should be kept to a minimum. Of the newcomers, both Hat Yai and Noble Prospector appeal as likely types, with the former being one of the powerful King Power Racing Co representatives, whilst San Sebastian could prove stronger with a run or two under his belt. Of those with previous experience, the likes of Saikung and Oasis Prince enter the equation. However, for a small each-way interest, there'll be far worse options than DOMINUS who appeared to get the message late on debut in a competitive back-end Newbury maiden.
  1. Dominus
  2. Noble Prospector
  3. Oasis Prince
