Has failed to beat an opponent home over 1m2½f and 7f last month in a couple of starts here. Significantly up in trip here here but not in the form required to play a part.

British raider. Winner at Newcastle in January, but has been a beaten odds-on favourite on a couple of occasions since that success. Sure to be of interest in the market, given connections and first-time blinkers.

38-race maiden including without success in 16 starts on the AW in the past with 14 of those defeats coming at this venue. Still looking no nearer to a breakthrough success.

Possibly best effort for William Haggas when second of 14 to Piece of History in a 1m novice at Chelmsford in July. Has run well in defeat in three starts for new connections including on handicap debut finishing fourth of 10 last month.

Highly tried on Flat as a juvenile and showed ability in pattern company. Still a maiden from 17 starts under rules including a couple of heavy defeats at this track. Well below par form looks set to continue.

$550,000 as a yearling for Hamdan Al Maktoum - never seeing the racetrack - sold for £800 at the Doncaster January sales. No impression when ridden over 2f in a 14½L defeat on debut here last month. Plenty to prove here.

Two from 14 starts over C&D here and takes a significant drop in trip here following a gallant win when seeing off the attentions of Ringo Kid over 2m here last month winning by ¾L. Form solid and fancied here.

Winner of six of his 43 starts on the AW including finding success in three of his 12 starts here at this track including a ¾L victory last month off a mark of 75. Worth a market check on stable debut.

Forecasts

Elysees Palace (1/2), Black Label (4/1), Georgian Bay (11/2), With A Start (9/1), Bruinneall (16/1), Swiss Cottage (25/1), Chateau Conti (25/1), Khawaatem (66/1), Multiviz (80/1)

Verdict

Elysees Palace is sure to be of interest in the market given the British raiders connections, but a chance can be taken with the dual C&D winner BLACK LABEL who won well over 2m here last week beating the tough Ringo Kid ¾L and can take the drop in trip in his stride in this contest. The former Ado McGuinness-trained Georgian Bay has won three of his 12 starts here at this track including a ¾L victory last month off a mark of 75 and can hit the frame here on stable debut.
  1. Black Label
  2. Elysees Palace
  3. Georgian Bay
