Wishfull Dreamingp,t12
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-8| J: Jonathan England| T: S England| OR:  120| BF| D
5/1
Has shown plenty of improvement since switched to fences (2-6), but made mistakes and was a disappointment at Musselburgh (2m4f+, good) just 12-days ago; forecast conditions fine, and this trip is more suitable; no real surprise if he bounces back.

Embolep1,t19
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-3| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  115
6/4
Has undoubted ability but unfortunately has gone off the boil over hurdles somewhat in recent months, hence the presence of newly-applied cheekpieces; remains relatively unexposed over fences; could be worth chancing.

Vendor17
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-2| J: Danny Cook| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR:  114| D
7/1
Veteran; remains a maiden over fences (0-9) and almost certainly vulnerable to his younger rivals; weakened from the second last when finishing third of four to The Last Day in a Carlisle novices' chase (2m, heavy) latest.

Lucky Robinp41
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-12| J: Sean Quinlan| T: B Ellison| OR:  110| C
8/1
Unbeaten in two starts over hurdles at Market Rasen (2m2f+, good) - made all on each occasion; not as effective since, and didn't scream 'future winner' on chasing debut at Sedgefield (2m5f) either; mildly interesting nevertheless.

Horse silk
Larch Hill44
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-9| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR:  107
9/4
Makes his chasing debut off a mark which is 3lb higher than when scoring by 2¼L at Warwick (2m, good to soft); no real reason as to why he shouldn't take to chasing (half-brother to the stayer Lunar Flow).
6
Horse silk
Quizzacle Nomad108
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-3| J: Tabitha Worsley(7)| T: Laura Morgan| OR:  81
66/1
PTP winner (March 2017); has shown little of any real substance under rules and makes her chasing/handicap debut from well out of the weights proper; very unlikely winner barring accidents.

Forecasts

Embole (6/4), Larch Hill (9/4), Wishfull Dreaming (5/1), Vendor (7/1), Lucky Robin (8/1), Quizzacle Nomad (66/1)

Verdict

A muddling contest in which the top-weight Wishfull Dreaming boasts the strongest form over fences, although we must caveat that statement by pointing out that the Warwick hurdles scorer Larch Hill has yet to tackle the larger obstacles. However, perhaps the horse with the most potential in the long-term is EMBOLE. His jumping was a shade 'novicey' when last tried over fences at Huntingdon in January, but he should've done plenty of schooling at home since then, and is worth chancing in newly-fitted headgear.
  1. Embole
  2. Larch Hill
  3. Wishfull Dreaming
