Seven-race maiden; best effort came when beaten a head by Fighting Spirit (Alfred The Grey third) over C&D in October; gelded.
3lb higher than when beating today's rival Klipperty Klopp by a neck over C&D in February; broadly consistent since.
Ten-race maiden; narrowly beaten by today's rival Kodi Dream over C&D in February; perfectly capable of finding a weak race here sooner or later, albeit lacks consistency.
7f Catterick winner in July 2018 (seller); evidently limited in terms of natural ability, but has run well over this C&D in the past; could do better for the 174-day break.
Eight-race maiden; finished a close-up third to Fighting Spirit (Pageant Master second) on AW debut over C&D in October; disappointing since; more required.
Has shown marginal improvement since upped to 7f, finishing fifth of 14 to My Ukulele on nursery bow over C&D in September; now 2lb lower with cheekpieces applied.
Makes precious little appeal based upon what he's shown on track so far (7f-1m); wears a newly applied tongue-tie on handicap debut.
Dropped 4lb since finishing last of nine to Firewater on handicap debut at Ayr (1m, good to soft) in October; others tick plenty more boxes.
Caught close home when attempting to make all in a Ripon seller (6f) in July 2018; employed similar tactics (tough to pull off at Newcastle) when finishing a respectable fourth on AW debut at Wolverhampton (6f) in November.
Six-race maiden; possible trip excuse for a modest effort here in November (1m), but not totally discredited over 7f at Wolverhampton a couple of weeks earlier; on balance, others more convincing.
0-5 for previous trainer Richard Hannon; has made little impression since joining Sedgefield handler Rebecca Menzies for a paltry 1,000gns in October 2018; look elsewhere.
Has made the frame on both starts in handicap company (6f), including when finishing a keeping on 2L third to Camachess and Klopp latest; should stay 7f; rates as far more appealing than the vast majority.
Nine-race maiden; reasonably consistent and has related form with a few of today's rivals; wasn't found wanting for stamina when upped to 1m here 55-days ago, finishing 2L third to Macs Blessings; chance.
Has shown precious little to enthuse over thus far, including when well beaten at odds of 80/1 on handicap debut here (6f) in October; look elsewhere with a fair degree of confidence.
Forecasts
Kodi Dream (3/1), Blazing Dreams (7/2), Firsteen (11/2), Klipperty Klopp (7/1), Pageant Master (8/1), Jagerbond (8/1), Smashing Lass (8/1), Caramel Curves (10/1), Alfred The Grey (16/1), Zoom Out (16/1), Mi Laddo (16/1), Cool Kitty (25/1), She'zanarab (50/1), Our Secret (66/1)
A modest contest which makes little appeal for betting purposes. Blazing Dreams appears to stay further than 7f, and that should stand him in good stead against such limited rivals. Mi Laddo could take a small step forward for the introduction of cheekpieces, whilst the consistent Kodi Dream is fancied to confirm his C&D winning form with Klipperty Klopp. However, the speculative pin falls upon the Borders-trained filly FIRSTEEN. She has found the frame on both starts since switched to low-grade handicapping, promises to stay 7f, and merits consideration based upon last month's third-placed finish behind Camachess and Klopp.
- Firsteen
- Blazing Dreams
- Kodi Dream
