Gelding by Street Cry out of a Pivotal mare. Dam Group 3 and Listed winner for trainer Mick Channon. Market likely to be the best guide for belated debut from high draw.
Maiden after six starts for trainer James Given but contested Group races on three of her last four outings including when finishing fourth of 20 at Royal Ascot over 6f in June 2017. Best watched on return to action.
Big Bad Bob mare is a half-sister to 6f winner Louis Leroy. Well beaten on both her starts to date when last seen in May. Plenty to prove on reappearance.
Appears to be improving with every run following his second of 13 beaten 3L over C&D in October before a 1L defeat on the AW at Dundalk a month later. Leading player from high draw.
Has shown glimpses of promise in seven fruitless starts since May in including a 7L defeat on the AW at Dundalk earlier in the month. Goes well over this trip and holds a low draw.
Colt by Holy Roman Emperor out of a Royal Applause. Unraced Dam foaled Group winner Laganore. Yards youngsters generally need the first run on debut.
Vocalised colt, full-brother to juvenile winner over 7f and two more winners including a Listed winner as a juvenile over 1m1f. Ran well on seasonal debut in a three-year-old maiden on the AW at Dundalk last month finishing third of 12 over 7f.
Unlikely to be a good sign that the Moohaajim progeny is gelded for debut run here. Yards debutantes' often in need of the run.
No Nay Never colt out of an Excellent Art mare. Backed on debut when finishing fourth of six beaten 2¼L in a Curragh 6f contest in August. Last of eight when last seen later in the month and needs to have 'trained on' to play a role.
By Elusive Pimpernel represents a small yard without a winner this season from two runners. Needs to improve on a couple of dull efforts when last seen in September.
A €20,000 Equiano colt. Half-brother to 6f/7f winner My Own Way Home and two-year-old 6f winner Lourdes Lad. No impression on leaders on seasonal debut on the AW at Dundalk earlier in the month finishing ninth of 13 beaten over 10L. Tough ask.
Colt by Lovelace finished over 18L adrift of USS Michigan on debut in a 6f Dundalk maiden on the AW earlier in the month. Looks a tall order for small yard.
€75,000 yearling by Alhebayeb out of an unraced half-sister to two Group Three winners at 1m. Well beaten in a couple of starts including a 16L defeat when last seen at Naas in October. Worth a market check.
Showed up well for a long way prior to weakening in a 6f maiden at Leopardstown (good-to-firm) on debut before a 7¾L defeat over this trip at Tipperary when last seen in August. Up against it from high draw and likely to lead on stable debut.
Daughter of Dandy Man bought for €16,000 as a two-year-old at the breeze-up sales last May. Well held in three career starts to date including finishing tailed off at Dundalk on the AW earlier this month. Others preferred.
Filly by Fast Company out of a Selkirk mare. Hard to fancy based on a couple of dismal efforts at this venue when last seen in October.
18,000 gns yearling. Slade Power filly is a half-sister to 5f winner Glamorous Rocket and has plenty of speed in pedigree. Plenty to like about her two career starts in July last year. One of the more intriguing contenders.
Filly by Garswood out of an Avonbridge mare. Sire has made a slow start to stallion career and hard to fancy here following a 13L defeat finishing 14th of 15 on debut at Roscommon in June.
Filly by Bungle Inthejungle out of a Red Ransom mare. Half-sister to winners Snaffled and Weardiditallgowrong. 10th of 15 finished 11½L adrift of the impressive Wargrave at Naas on Sunday.
Daughter of Dandy Man out of an Exceed And Excel mare. Six-race maiden, though did produce a career best on final start last season over C&D in October. Could go well from a high draw.
Filly by Dandy Man out of a Barathea mare. Dam well beaten in three career starts at Dundalk on the AW. Looks vulnerable on debut in this company.
Daughter of Red Jazz who cost €3,800 as a yearling. Well held in a couple of starts on the AW at Dundalk this season and has plenty to prove in this contest.
Forecasts
Captainofthebounty (7/4), Mistress Of Venice (9/2), Nicaro (7/1), Glamorous Power (7/1), Count D'Orsay (8/1), It's Not Too Late (9/1), Mi Esperanza (20/1), Levee Breaks (33/1), Slainte (33/1), Loughanlea Lass (33/1), Dundory (50/1), Moneebb (50/1), Pretty Smart (50/1), Peddlers Pass (50/1), That's Mad (66/1), Fanny Blankers (66/1), Woman Touch (100/1), Trueba (100/1), All For Power (100/1), Theweehard (100/1), Dandy Pearl (100/1), Hopestown (100/1)
The Aidan O'Brien-trained Captainofthebounty is sure to be popular in the market but the son of War Front starts in the 15 stall and will need plenty of tactical sense at three not to follow possible pacesetter All For Power on the slight undulations of the Navan track. A chance is taken with the Charles O'Brien-trained COUNT D'ORSAY who had a decent blow at Dundalk on the AW recently and can take the opener if getting a more sensible pull in to the race than his main danger. It's Not Too Late and Glamourous Power can go well at bigger odds.
- Count D'Orsay
- Glamorous Power
- Captainofthebounty
