Had Charbel back in third when scoring at Perth in September. Can be feared on that effort and this easier than his starts since. He is a spring/summer horse so could exploit this mark soon, but probably over a shorter trip.

His last three victories have come in fields of five or less, the latest here over 2m4f. Stays this far and less highly tried than of late. Well-handicapped and could take some catching if getting into a good rhythm in front.

Connections harboured Festival hopes after his Ascot success when there were many future winners behind. Has failed to progress since and threw away a good opportunity last time. Visor fitted and would be dangerous if they have the desired effect.

Not at all badly weighted judged on his Ludlow defeat of Darius des Bois. Beaten twice since and, even allowing for the quality of the opposition, the performances were still hugely disappointing. Worrying to see blinkers fitted.

Consistent mare who had little chance at the weights last time but should be in the thick of things if running to her usual standard. Collateral form would leave her something to find with King Of Realms if he reproduced his Ascot effort.

Forecasts

King Of Realms (7/4), Coup De Pinceau (7/4), Molly Childers (5/1), Templehills (6/1), Hammersly Lake (14/1)

Verdict

Question marks would have to be applied to Coup de Pinceau and King Of Realms following their latest runs, whilst Hammersley Lake has stamina concerns to address. Molly Childers should give her usual honest account but this presents TEMPLEHILLS with an opportunity to return to the winner's enclosure having been highly tried in recent outings. He is at his best when dominating small fields from the front and also has a 2-5 record at this track. He beat a reliable sort by 11L here in the autumn and is now just a 1lb higher in the weights.
  1. Templehills
  2. Molly Childers
