Has a number of winners in his pedigree, including the 1m3f Flat scorer Cosmic Sun (half-brother); might ideally require more time and also has some work to do with Glenduff based upon his Kelso fifth to Mam Trasna.

Horse silk
5/2
Flemensfirth mare; sister to the useful bumper winner Acronym; her fencing was her forte in Irish PTP's (unbeaten for Colin Motherway); beaten at short odds on her rules/stable debut at Sedgefield just over a fortnight ago; race fit.

Forecasts

Glenduff (8/11), Theflickeringlight (5/2), Lemon T (5/1), The Blame Game (11/1), Arnica (12/1), Lastofthecosmics (40/1)

Verdict

Nicky Richards has his string in fine fettle at present and sports a 28% strike-rate (26-93) with his runners in NHF races over the past five years (Marown won here recently). Plenty was seemingly expected of GLENDUFF on debut at Kelso in January (started 5/4f) and he managed to see off all bar the Irish raider Mam Trasna. With that winner since sold to Gordon Elliott for £95,000 (Tattersalls Cheltenham Sale), this seemingly modest bumper presents an ideal opportunity for the Trevor Hemmings-owned 5yo to strike at the second attempt.
  1. Glenduff
  2. Lemon T
  3. Theflickeringlight
