Irish point-to-point winner (off the mark fifth attempt) who took a massive leap forward to score on his second Rules start (very weak in the market). Suited by the increased stamina test and very much open to further progress under a penalty.
Dual Irish point-to-point winner (latest win April 2018) who now makes his Rules debut. Both wins came on soft ground; worth a market check.
Useful sort in bumpers who shaped encouragingly on his hurdles debut before not firing with the same zip on his latest hurdles start. Significant that his best hurdles performance came when faced with his stiffest test of stamina; leading player.
Starting to look exposed after four unsuccessful hurdles starts; likely to have won last time but for falling 2 out (two lengths clear at the time). Obvious claims on that run over this trip as long as the mishap hasn't left a mark.
Winner in Irish point-to-points who has been progressing nicely over hurdles; took a step forward last time when faced with his stiffest stamina test (3m). Will be better over even further; handicaps likely to offer his best chance.
Her second in a Sedgefield novice was undoubtedly her best performance so far and a move forward on her bumper starts. Still looks to need some further experience and hasn't quite shown the same level of ability as some in this.
Achieved very little in bumpers and has gone the same way over hurdles. Would be a surprise if she were to trouble the principals in this.

The Irish form of CAPTAIN CJ stands out here with his run at Navan being franked by one who has gone to perform well in Graded contests since and he looks well worth another try at this stamina sapping trip. Shaman Du Berlais looked a likely winner when capsizing at Catterick last time and he’ll be a danger if that episode hasn’t left a mark. Apart from those two there are some others of interest in this opener with Ayr scorer Largy Prospect capable of getting involved although he would need to be smart to defy his penalty. Stung For Cash and Ard Chros make this an interesting opener to the card.
