Verdict

Champion Hurdle winning trainer Gavin Cromwell can grab glory once again here in the first major flat handicap of the season with CIAO who makes the race following a shorthead win on the AW at Dundalk last week. The four-year-old can get a decent pull in to the race from early pace setters, Honor Oak, Shatharaat, Trading Point and Warnaq, making his move as those on the outside fan wide on the tight home turn. Expect to see Kevin Manning jostling for an inner position from his draw of 14 on Theobald who can run in to a place here with Karawaan for the Ger Lyons yard who won this race in 2017 with Brendan Bracken.
