Unlucky to be pipped on the line by an improving rival last week. Up 2lb for that but mark remains attractive judged on his juvenile form and a visor may help find a little more.

Off the mark under this rider at Southwell two weeks ago over a mile. Has form on this surface and over this trip but a 4lb rise and a wide draw make this more difficult.

Walked over at Lingfield last month and had his limitations exposed here last time. A fifth of six behind Dark Vision has done little for his handicap mark and a poor draw makes this even harder.

Scored at Chepstow on his second start and best run since came on a soft surface. Disappointing on sole AW outing and has plenty to prove on seasonal bow.

Did not have to find much to narrowly win a low grade handicap over a mile here last November. More to do here off a higher mark and the draw is not helpful.

Has finished fifth on all four starts. Had some useful sorts in front and behind on the third of those at Newmarket and could be better than she showed on heavy ground subsequently. Worth a look in the market.

Runner-up in a minor race at Windsor last term. His subsequent effort, and those of the winner and third, suggest he will struggle off today's mark.

Has shown modest ability in four starts and that fairly reflected in today's official rating. Will need to break better than he did last time but otherwise could improve on handicap debut.

Disappointing last time having beaten Camachess on last AW outing. Back off a break having been gelded and others look better handicapped.

Pick of his three runs came here and he has shaped as though this longer trip would help. Handicap mark looks undemanding and stable in form so there is plenty to like and the price should be attractive too.

Disappointing in a small field last time when forced to make the running. Consistent prior to that and a 2lb drop in the weights provides a good opportunity to get off the mark if staying the extra furlong. Her pedigree suggests she should.

Came from a long way back to chase home an easy winner here last time. Better drawn tonight with an extra furlong to help so must enter calculations.

Verdict

A wide open contest with Derry Boy, Facethepuckout, Love Your Work and Maisie Moo arriving on the back of good performances last time. Mushaageb and Lethal Missile are potential improvers on their handicap debuts, whilst Antonia Clara is proving hard to win with but the handicapper has given her a chance. VENTURA GLORY has run better than her form figures suggest and a close fifth in a hot Newmarket novice event on her penultimate start could have earned a much more demanding handicap mark than this. Whatever her fate here she should be winning soon.
