Progressing quickly and has won his last two here over shorter, including Listed success from Black Corton latest. Handicapper has enjoyed a clip at him for that score, but not ruled out despite that sizeable rise and is feared.
Fourth in the Welsh National over Christmas, was fancied for Listed Wincanton three-runner affair back over this sort of trip last month, but fell before things got serious. Capable of bouncing back.
3-5 over fences for new yard since coming back from more than 600 days off. Jumping let him down at Cheltenham on New Year's Day but firmly back on track at Wincanton (3m1f, good) last month, scoring with plenty in hand. Raised 11lb for that.
Just three runs over fences, could be capable of plenty more and good second last time at Ludlow behind Tommy Silver upped in trip. Soft-ground winner at Uttoxeter previously, has scope for better still and conditions forecast to suit.
11-year-old has roared back to life this year, winning Surrey National at Lingfield (3m5f, heavy) and backing that up with commanding Sandown win (3m, soft) this month. Still potentially on a good mark for hat-trick bid.
Newcastle winner to end last season started this term with a positive effort at the same course as he finished second again over 2m4f. Gone well since in second at Haydock but handicapped to the hilt and doubts over the trip.
Made every yard to win here over just of 3m recently on handicap debut, has gone up 10lb for that win and in a much tougher race now, which is likely to find him out.
Runner-up at Ayr (3m, soft) on debut for Sandy Thomson, that was a big step in the right direction and could get in the mix again now if improving for the outing.
Forecasts
Capard King (7/2), Some Chaos (4/1), Le Reve (9/2), Rons Dream (5/1), Blue Flight (7/1), Claud And Goldie (7/1), Calipso Collonges (7/1), Gold Opera (14/1)
Some Chaos was impressive last time at Wincanton but this will surely be tougher and he's gone up a fair chunk. His jumping previously at Cheltenham was sketchy and that might resurface in this competitive affair. The veteran Le Reve is thriving coming here bidding for a hat-trick and needs respecting while Rons Dream will also have designs if over her recent mishap. BLUE FLIGHT took the scalp of Black Corton to win a Listed race here over 3m last time and remains a progressive sort despite rocketing up the ratings for that win. He might well defy the assessor.
- Blue Flight
- Rons Dream
- Le Reve
