Beaten just once in six starts, and looks progressive. Last two wins have both come over C&D. Up 9lb for the latest of those, on handicap debut, so this will ask more questions, but should prove tough to beat.
1-12 over hurdles, but has some solid form, including his latest 6L second at Doncaster (3m, good; first-time blinkers). Headgear retained, but more needed from 1lb higher.
Dual C&D winner who stays 3m on soft ground. 4lb higher than when winning a similar race at Kelso (2m6f) two starts ago. Ran well again from this mark last time, and has to be respected.
Dual soft ground 2m novice hurdle winner early in 2018 for Warren Greatrex. Held on both starts for this trainer, but has since had a wind op. Has dropped to a handy mark, if the surgery proves beneficial. Interesting.
Forecasts
I'm To Blame (11/10), Brianstorm (3/1), Dans Le Vent (7/2), Bordeaux Bill (13/2)
A tricky race to call, with Brianstorm one to note in the market after wind surgery, Bordeaux Bill good around here, and Dans Le Vent very solid. However, I'M TO BLAME is the one on an upward curve at present and he is taken to continue that.
